This project was a new restaurant in downtown Evanston, Illinois located at the ground floor of a residential hotel. Entry to the facility is through an entry arch into a large courtyard that provides for outdoor dining. The Spanish cuisine menu with most of the dishes focused on small appetizer-sized dishes (tapas) was echoed throughout the facility by use of hand-made tiles on floors and walls and posters, art and other decor with Spanish motifs affixed to columns and walls throughout the restaurant. The dining space includes a long bar along one side with seating at the windows facing the street and space for diners to stand, converse and eat informally as is the custom with tapas dining.
